Already ou yet: qual a diferença?
Already é "já" em frase afirmativa, quando algo aconteceu (às vezes antes do esperado): "I've already sent the report." Yet é "já" em pergunta e "ainda" em negativa, e costuma ir no fim: "Have you sent it yet?" / "I haven't sent it yet."

Inglês americano
No inglês americano informal, é comum o past simple com already e yet: "Did you send it yet?", "I already sent it." No britânico e em textos mais formais, o present perfect é o padrão.

Na negativa, o "ainda não" é yet.
I'm already waiting for the approval.
I'm still waiting for the approval.
Para continuidade ("ainda estou"), use still.
