"Make a meeting" está correto?
Não é o natural. Para "marcar uma reunião", diga "schedule a meeting", "set up a meeting" ou "book a meeting". Para "ter/fazer" a reunião, "have a meeting" ou, mais formal, "hold a meeting". Exemplo: "Let's schedule a meeting for Tuesday."
Exemplos
Let's schedule a meeting for Tuesday at 10.
Vamos marcar uma reunião para terça às 10.
We have a meeting with the client tomorrow.
Temos reunião com o cliente amanhã.
Could we reschedule our call to Thursday?
Podemos remarcar nossa ligação para quinta?
Reunião, do começo ao fim
| Português | Inglês |
|---|---|
| marcar uma reunião | schedule / set up / book a meeting |
| ter / fazer uma reunião | have a meeting |
| realizar uma reunião (formal) | hold a meeting |
| remarcar | reschedule |
| adiar | postpone / push back |
| cancelar | cancel / call off |
| encerrar | wrap up / end |
Por que não make?
Make é para criar ou produzir algo (make a decision, make a plan). Reunião, em inglês, se agenda e se tem: são combinações fixas, que vale guardar em bloco.
Erros comuns
Let's make a meeting tomorrow.
Let's have a meeting tomorrow.
Para "fazer" a reunião, use have.
Can you mark a meeting with the team?
Can you schedule a meeting with the team?
"Mark" não é marcar compromisso; é schedule ou set up.
