Fun ou funny: qual a diferença?

Fun é divertido, algo que dá prazer fazer: "The team event was fun." Funny é engraçado, que faz rir: "Her story was funny." Um passeio pode ser fun sem ninguém contar piada; uma piada é funny. Funny também pode ser "estranho": "That's funny, the file was here."
