    O que significa "follow up"?

    "Follow up" significa dar sequência a algo, retomar um contato ou cobrar um retorno. "I'll follow up with the client tomorrow" é "vou retomar o contato com o cliente amanhã". Como substantivo, com hífen, "a follow-up" é o retorno ou a mensagem de acompanhamento: "a follow-up email".

    Separável, mas raro

    Com objeto, dá para separar ("follow the lead up"), mas no trabalho quase sempre se usa "follow up on/with": "follow up on the lead", "follow up with the lead". Com pronome, a forma separada aparece: "follow it up".
